Remote Speakers Output Plug-In 1.0
« Remote Speakers Output Plug-In 0.13 | Main | What would you like to see in version 2.0? »The day has finally arrived! After many months of work, today I am releasing version 1.0 of my AirTunes solution for Nullsoft Winamp and Ventis Media MediaMonkey, the Remote Speakers Output Plug-In. My Apple AirPort Expresses are buzzing with excitement! This version contains only a couple minor changes from 0.13:
- Streaming audio from a URL should behave now
- The installer received a visual update
- The plug-in is compiled without debug information and with optimizations
Many thanks to all who helped me work out all the bugs and get to this point. And to those who have donated money, a big thanks to you as well. I'll be taking a little time off, but there will be an announcement posted here shortly regarding the future direction of the plug-in. As always, go get the plug-in, enjoy streaming music to your remote speakers and drop me a line if anything doesn't work as it should.
Congratulations to the 1.0 release!
I am using Remote Speakers all the time with Winamp, this program have made my life so much easier :)
Thanks
Göran
Very, very nice. Thank you. A couple of suggestions:
(1) Unless I am missing something, it would be nice to be able to easily turn on/off the plugin in winamp without going into the preferences... perhaps include a switch in the remote speakers list?
(2) I think the next thing everyone will be bugging you for (myself included) is support for multiple airport express units. Then this thing would REALLY kick ass!
Still, this is a really great plugin. Cheers!!
Great work.
Very much needed and works like a charm.
Thank you so much!
Marco.
I am still very impressed and you made my life much more fun. It is working perfectly. I am using it with Jinzora to stream my music and I only activate the buttons from Winamp in the taskbar. I am very glad that I am get rid of Itunes and WMP and that it almost looks like I am only using Jinzora.
Its really great.
