Remote Speakers Output Plug-In 2.4

I have built a new version of the Remote Speakers Output Plug-In that addresses a couple nagging problems for some users.

First, I added a new option that controls whether or not Keyspan Express Remote functionality is supported. If enabled, Express Remote may be used to control playback from remote speakers location. If disabled, Express Remote will not work and port 3689 is unused. This should allow the plug-in to co-exist with MonkeyTunes.

Also fixed is some window flicker in the player when starting/resuming playback. This problem was most noticeable in MediaMonkey.

New beta version released. Stability should be much better in all players.

Windows Media Player is now supported (early stages); not 100% sure if it will work with Vista/Windows 7 WMP.

Remote Speakers Output Plug-In 3.0b3

Thanks to everyone who has tried the previous betas out and sent feedback. A number of issues have been uncovered and addressed. Here is a new beta that expires on July 31st—giving you another month to test—and fixes window flicker in MediaMonkey, some dialog errors, playback errors and shutdown errors.

Remote Speakers Output Plug-In 3.0b2

Beta testing has been going well. A number of issues have been uncovered and fixed. Thanks to all who have tried out the beta so far. Here is a new version that fixes track skipping in Media Monkey, general playback in XMPlay and a couple additional items.

Remote Speakers Output Plug-In 3.0b1

I made excellent progress on the plug-in in the last two days. All of the little nagging problems have been cleaned up and I have created a time-limited beta version for you to try out. See my previous posting for a list of new features. As far as I know, everything should be functional, so please let me know right away if anything doesn't work or if you get unexpected error messages.

I have included minimal instructions on how to install for Winamp and XMPlay. And the Winamp instructions apply to Media Monkey as well. Configuration should work as with 2.x except for the addition of the ability to statically configure devices. To add, edit or remove a device, right-click on it in the options dialog, as seen in the screenshot below. You cannot edit devices that were discovered with Bonjour.
